Shoppers, the time has come. It is Amazon Prime Day, one of the biggest online shopping sale events of the year. It's a special sale for Prime members only, and the deals will start flowing at 12 a.m. PST on Monday, July 15 and last through 11:59 p.m. PST on Tuesday, July 16. There are lots of solid deals to be had within those 48 hours.

Why Should I Join Amazon Prime?

If you're not a Prime member yet but want to get in on these deals, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial. After your trial ends, you'll be charged $119 for a year's worth of Prime. (But don't worry, you can also opt out before then.) But if you place roughly 20 orders on Amazon within a year and upgrade to two-day shipping, the cost of membership begins to balance out. If you're a student with a university email address, you can get Prime for $60 a year.
