In the feature-length documentary The Bikes of Wrath, a group of novice Australian cyclists departs from Oklahoma to replicate the iconic journey taken by the Joad family in the American novel The Grapes of Wrath. They start out with $420, the same amount as the family had in the book (adjusting for inflation, of course). Their goal is to reach California by bike and explore the region's long-standing communities.
